Fashion Styling Academy

Fashion Styling Academy

Whether you have a fashion background or not, all you need is a passion for helping others and have the love for styling & clothes, we will teach you the rest! From all the styling & fashion skills you need, plus our insights into how to run a PROFITABLE styling business, you will learn it all. This is far from a correspondence workshop that is filled with pages of theory. For a job that is so highly visual and the need to be delicate in the way you work with your client, you just cannot succeed without hands-on training and experience.

The combination of theory and hands-on experience that this workshop offers will contribute to your success as a stylist. Generally, there are different types of Stylists:

Fashion stylist: is hired by clients looking to put together a photo shoot and/or a fashion show. Their focus is to make the clothes look great by putting their creative touch on it. The attention is on the “look” desired by the client.

Personal stylist and/or shopper: is similar but the focus is on the individual as a whole, with attention to the person’s needs, personality and lifestyle, and making them look and feel amazing to achieve a certain goal.

Image consultants: can also offer service with communication, personal and business etiquette, business and personal image and body language.

This is what the fashion styling workshops are all about. In small classes, you will get both theory and hands-on practice based on the methods that our Industry Expert Stylists have already developed. Style is infinitely measured.

TFA offers two workshops in the fashion styling department, there are no pre-requisites required to take either of the workshops.

Fashion Photography

Fashion Photography

To become a professional fashion photographer, you’ll need to know more than how to take a photo. The studio photographer starts off with an empty canvas and fills it with lights, props, people and so forth. The location photographer will use the viewfinder as the frame to bring graphic order to something that already exists. You’ll learn current non-destructive image editing and printmaking. You’ll be encouraged to think, work and perform as a professional in each shoot, which not only will teach you technical skills, but more importantly, focus on creativity that comes with fashion photography.

This workshop allows you to develop the creative vision and individual style that differentiates great photography from average photography. You’ll be given a solid foundation in both the creative chemistry of fashion photography and in the new possibilities offered by digital technology. You’ll get a thorough grounding in theory and practice as well as valuable exposure to the industry through expert photographers and print-makers who make up the TFA Industry Expert team.

Most importantly, you’ll end up with a portfolio of professional work, which reflects your individuality and showcases your talent to prospective clients or employers.
